Punk. His traces in contemporary art
Punk is an attitude of discrepancy and rebellion against the economic, political, social and cultural system. The exhibition curated by David G. Torres, in regards to the 40th anniversary of the emergence of punk, recovers the movement’s antecedents, presents some of the protagonists and other authors in which works remain the main factors of the seventies’ crisis. Some of the recurrent topics are noise, denial, nihilism, violence or sexuality. The exhibition was presented before in the CA2M of the Community of Madrid, ARTIUM de Vitoria-Gasteiz and Museu d' Art Contemporani de Barcelona (MACBA). Now, the Museo Universitario del Chopo presents a version of the exhibition which includes the mexican context.
